From 1st April 2024, council tax exemptions in Gravesham changed:

🛑 Empty property discount no longer applies – the property owner is responsible to pay council tax from the day the property is empty.

🛠️ Properties requiring major works to render them habitable received a 100% discount for up to 12 months. This is no longer available.

🚫 Properties that have been unoccupied and unfurnished for at least 12 months will have an additional 100% (i.e., two times the standard charge) premium charge on their Council Tax account.
